THE CONSISTENT EFFORTS FOR REDUCING THE PROCESSING TIME OF
MEDICAL/IHSS APPLICATIONS

I took active part on the following matters in the IHSS Board meetings which deals with Seniors and Disables.
1)It was suggested to review the eligibility criteria of Medical/IHSS Consumer in view of inflammatory trends.
2)The Social Service Agency informed the Board that the processing time of the IHSS application will be further reduced as new computer programing system is being introduced.
However I have been following up the matter regarding reducing the time in processing Medical/IHSS applications with the Program Manger of Social Service Agency(Who is also member of the IHSS Advisory Board) in the advisory board's, subsequent meetings. The last time it was done in the presence of aides of Board of supervisors, Santa Clara County.
However the feedback is positive in the matter because of consistent follow up and persuasion.
